Coimbra Solar Information System (COSIS)

The main goal of this project is the development of an informatics tool to treat the spectroheliograms, optical images on the Calcium lines K1 and K3v, observed in Coimbra. That tool will be user-friendly in order that the researcher can perform temporal analysis to study the solar activity phenomena. This is a collaboration between the Coimbra Observatory and UNINOVA. This work will be preformed taking into account the future participation of the Coimbra Observatory in the International Virtual Observatory.
